Amazing very happy and about to buy a second one. Some of my tool are a few years old and I found that it would fit some but the older Makita tools it would not go in. After looking at a new Makita tool I compared it with an old one I noticed there’s a little notch in the old ones so using a chisel chisel to be a plastic out now the battery fits in perfect. I’m guessing Makita want you to regularly update your hand tools :) Thanks

Not as good as the genuine article, but still a good value purchase
I have used a pair of these 6.0 amp hour batteries with my Makita 2x18v chainsaw over the past few days. I've compared them to a pair of original Makita 5.0 amp hour batteries that are about 9 months old. They don't last as long as the originals. I can't be more precise than that. However, they work well, probably lasting as long as a pair of 3 amp hour original batteries, but I am guessing. They weigh about 10% less than the Makita 5.0 amp hour originals. However the big advantage is their price. I paid £22.50 each. That is less than one third of the cost of a Makita 5.0 amp hour original. They work perfectly well whilst the original batteries are charging up on a dual charger, so they are excellent for my purposes. Not Very Impressed !!!!!!!
These are advertised in the picture as Makita batteries. They are not !!! On first use after fully charging on a genuine Makita Charger the batteries lasted about a quarter of the time than my previous LiBatter 5.0Ah batteries. After subsequent use and recharging, the battery life has improved but is still not as good as my previous batteries. I’ve had to turn my Makita Leafblower power output down from 6 to 4 to get any useful life out of them. They also have no power indicator on the battery itself. Not very impressed. I was surprised when I opened the box, it was better than I thought it was going to be. The only reason I gave 4 stars is the I haven’t test it over a long period so do know how good it will be long term but so far very happy with it. My only concern is it saying it’s 6ah but how do I know it is or isn’t, it may be printed on the battery sticker but no prove that it is any more powerful than my original 4ah makita batteries. It’s possible they mass produce these batteries and just stick different power stickers on them. I might purchase a 4ah and see if there is any difference. Makita fitment 18V 5.0ah
Purchased these to run alongside a pair of genuine Makita 3.0ah in my twin battery Makita chainsaw. They certainly last longer than the 3.0ah so I've no reason to doubt they do provide the full 5.0ah however time will tell as to the long term quality. They are of a cheaper build quality than the genuine article but for the money they do a good job.
