The 2630 is an ok camera, a bit technical though.
Review on 08.18.2017 The D-link DCS-2630L is an ok camera. But it is very technical to set it up and maintain. If you are not very technical then I would recommend going with dropcam or nest cam if needing something easier to use. For those that love technical stuff, then this camera has lots of features and dlink usually provides even more with each firmware update. Some of the current tech features include save and send pics or vids to email, sd card, ftp, network recorder, and live view; these can be continuous, interval, or by sound or motion. Day and night mode time control, no ir control yet. Also ddns support. Different video resolution profiles, 2 or 3 depending on firmware. Web url when on local network, sorta complicated. Wps enabled. In 1080 resolution the video quality is ok and relatively clear up to about 15 feet, based on clarity of zooming in, past 20 feet becomes grainy. Audio can sometimes pick up random electrical sounds, but is perfectly usable most of the time. The best feature is the 180 degree field of view with dewarping technology, I really like this, I can see almost an entire room with it. The not good. Camera runs hot normally, about 110 degree F on average. Can have some difficulties with IPv6 or xfinity. Set up is technical and may require many attempts. Wifi only, no Ethernet connection. Currently no IR LED manual control, IRs depend on day and night modes. No adaptive contrast, or WDR like the 2530, can be too dark or light in areas of high contrast like during a bright sunny day. And the camera is on the large size at about 3.25 inch wide by 5.75 inch tall with 3.25 inch diameter base. Overall though I am happy with my dlink wifi IP cameras.

DLink DCS-2630L wide angle camera
This camera has a good image, considering it has a 180 degree field of view. DLink claims this camera is easy to install, but I have wasted many hours trying to get it to work with my wifi network. This camera does not have an ethernet port, so the DLink Lite smart phone/tablet app must be used in the configuration process. The only way I have been able to connect the camera to my wifi network is if I use the WPS button on my wifi router or wifi extender and the camera WPS button. Even this approach usually takes multiple attempts. This type of wifi connection may be OK for a one time setup, but if the camera is ever unplugged or loses power, the whole configuration process has to be repeated. I have tried many many times to configure the camera without using the WPS approach, but ... This camera has a good image, considering it has a 180 degree field of view. Huge improvement over my old camera
We were using a camera about 5 generations older than this one and didn't have night vision. I'm amazed at how clear this one is. We have this one pointed right up against a window, so the night vision doesn't work well, but even as it gets dark, the camera is still showing visible video, brighter than what it seems to me outside. Very happy with the purchase even without the night vision. I will figure out how to make that work eventually too. I highly recommend this camera over older models. Setup is difficult sometimes, but good camera.
The setup for the 2630 is somewhat difficult, but the camera works ok after setup. Effective range 15 feet in 1080p mode, past that the view is grain like. Its good for a consumer ip wifi camera, better than some of the dlink cameras.
