The colourised version is a 75 minute re-edit which took a lot of umbridge with the original b/w 7 episodes, with extra sound f/x and new music and even some new Dalek dialogue all to make it presentable to a 21st century audience. It receieved mixed reviews from fans. I must admit I only purchased it because I got hold of a vastly superior recon sleeve, far better then the one supplied. The original b/w is included on disc two along with all the original bonus material.

An excellently edited and well colourised version of the original Daleks serial (aka The Perils of Pauline with a sink plunger). Could easily have cut another 15 minutes without any loss to the storyline. The fact that the piece can be so heavily edited and retain its integrity is testament to how slow and how flabby the 1963/64 original is. A++
