Fits well but extremely hard to install
I agree with some of the other reviewers. The item is the correct item but is extremely hard to install. I don't know what kind of clamp they use in the factory but it's almost impossible to fit at home. The problem is, you need to squeeze the unit in place compressing the rubber seal to an impossible amount before the clips holding the unit in place clip on. It has to be a tight fit so it doesn't leak. I found lubricating the rubber seal with Fairy washing up liquid certainly helped but in the end I did a bit of a botch job. So far, there is no leak and the unit workers perfectly. If anyone has any tips on how to perform this installation task they should post it here.I agree with some of the other reviewers. Good price but part doesn't quite fit.
This was a good price for the part & looks like the same part as more expensive suppliers. BUT these parts are very slightly larger than the original and therefore virtually impossible to fit into the hole of our old-ish Bosch dishwasher. Despite watching numerous youtube videos, lubricating with washing-up liquid & trying for over an hour. Ended up using the old rubber seal & still hasn't fitted properly. Hoping it stays in place to extend the dishwasher life for a bit longer, but not confident it will last. Seems lots of people have the same problem with these parts (from all suppliers). So if you have an old model, avoid having to remove the the unit if you possibly can.This was a good price for the part & looks like the same part as more expensive suppliers. Great replacement
Although a bit sceptical about replacement parts that don't come from the manufacturer I've taken pot luck and ordered this, fitted it and so far it seems to have completely rectified the problem I had where the dispenser trigger spring wouldn't work (and I couldn't fix despite You Tube videos showing me how - in fact I broke the entire blue trigger part !). The joys of You Tube showed me how to replace this part easily.Although a bit sceptical about replacement parts that don't come from the manufacturer I've taken pot luck and ordered this, fitted it and so far it seems to have completely rectified the problem I had where the dispenser trigger spring wouldn't work (and I couldn't fix despite You Tube videos showing me how - in fact I broke the entire blue trigger part !). I consider myself an experienced DIY 'er and also a retired engineer but fitting this was very difficult,very tight fit (which it needs to be ) but almost impossible to get into position , I lubricated the sealing rubber well even swapped old seal but as door is very thin steel and very flexible it was very frustrating ! I gave up yesterday and will try again today .
