More req'd for further installs. Out of box decoder gives lighting control of on/off headlights with top marker + on/off halos for the chosen leading end, & on/off tail lights for the trailing end FWD (#1) or REV (#2), i.e: no lights, light engine, double-heading or top n tail. I only need these basics so cannot comment on any more advanced options for 'proper' modellers who are DCC savvy!
