I saw them live it was terrific I had so much fun when I heard the cd and all the emotions came borrowing back laughed looking at this 74 year old man Trying to dance. Wow what fun.

Great - but still only the mono versions!
Of all the pop groups from the 1960s The Dave Clark Five is hardest to find on CD. This is because Dave Clark owns the masters of the group's records and only rarely lets them see the light of day. But that is not the whole story. All the hits were actually recorded in stereo and issued on vinyl in stereo on EMI Starline "The best of Dave Clark Five" - worth getting if you can find a copy! So where are the stereo masters now? I imagine (but I don't know) that they are still in EMI's vaults. DC probably only bought the mono masters but won't let EMI issue the stereo ones. Whatever the truth, good though this CD is, I'd like to have a complete retrospective, perhaps containing both the mono and stereo versions. The Dave Clark Five - The Hits
I have to tell you that I have a pretty extensive collection of 60's thru 90's CD's and a large part is British hits by their actual artists and that meant that I had to get a decent DC5 selection, it was available but at unaffordable prices until this release. Back in the Day, I saw the DC5 in person at a local movie theater along with a Murray the "K" Show (NYC DJ) and of what I could hear of it, it was great! Thus began my enjoyment of British Rock. The DC5 were right up there with the likes of the Beatles and the Rolling Stones and in my Parents eyes somewhat more refined. This CD pretty much captures all of their stylings along with their best hits, there are 28 tracks but #23 is a medley which actually provides you with 7 more cuts. I promise that if you purchase this CD you won't be ...
