This is my first Seagate as I always stick to a brand I know and trust but felt it was time for a change. My first is Lacie but that was over 10 yrs ago and now too expensive for me. Then I went to Western Digital and found them to be very robust as I had dropped one numerous times and it still works. I have read a lot about Seagate and have used it and it is just as good as I was expecting. It is quiet but the other two were - I think we would all object if it were noisy. To be honest, I should give a review six months from now as I have barely used it as other chores take priority but so far I like what I see.
