Seller doesn't actually have the item in stock, promised a refund, and is now ghosting me on messages. I have to wait another day before I can raise a case with eBay. I strongly suspect this is a fraudulent seller trying it on. If it were a genuine mistake, they would have issued a refund as soon as they first reached out upon realising they don't have the stock they thought they did.
