Fast delivery, well packed, and as described. This watch does not appear in the extant catalogues. The single line "Smiths Astral", and general case style, suggests a date c.1968, although the Astral National range, launched in 1965, also featured the single line. The linen dial might suggest a slightly earlier date but I would still guess 1968. Watch running well, very pleased. Excellent seller, highly recommended!

Still extremely pleased with both watch and seller. This is just to revise my suggested date for the watch. On closer inspection, the movement has only a batch number which means it's no later than 1964, the year in which the single-line "Smiths Astral" was introduced to dials. The combination of two means that this watch must be from 1964, which actually sits a bit more comfortably with the linen dial.
