These are large white stitches put into kimono before use, to keep it in perfect shape. They can easily be snipped and removed. Generally it is clean and looks unused. However on close inspection there is some minor and subtle yellowing on the front sleeves and lower back skirt, near the hem. This is not conspicuous but may account for how this item came to the second hand market when it appears to be unused. It is a vintage, probably unused item but please do not expect it to be exactly like brand new. It is a little longer than average length by Japanese standards which is rare to find, please check the measurements as Japanese clothes tend to be smaller and shorter than UK standards. Please see photos and description for details.”
