    Poor design.

    It works,...that's about it! The previous MR's kettle I owned lasted about seven years until the on/off switch stopped working. Unfortunately, that (model (43676) is now obsolete. It was a better design than this one is, and was: 1) much more balanced in the hand. 2) a blue light would illuminate the water inside showing it boiling. 3) the water level window was clear to view and with the illumination showed the scale of water fill. This model has the water level window obscured by the handle! The window is dark and the scale of fill is hard to see. The ridged 'Dune' patterning just makes it harder to wipe clean. There must be better designs around than this? Avoid this one!

    a decent filter at last!

    At last a kettle with a decent filter, this has a solid plastic filter with holes the size of pin heads as opposed to the ones made from nylon which clog up in hard water areas like mine and develop holes within 6 months and then find most of the time you cannot purchase a replacement filter, thank you Morphy Richards for answering my wishes for a kettle with a proper filter.
