This game is a classic "First Person Shooter" from 1997, so don't expect the latest graphics or sound effects. It's based off the "Build" game engine like "Doom", "Duke Nukem", and "Shadow Warrior". It will take a couple days to play it through for most people. There are a few verions of this game that were sold. Some of them are only partial games, with only the first 5 or 7 episodes (out of 14). These are called the "Early Years" and "Possum Bijou" editions, there's also a version without the music soundtrack so try to get the full version with the music for the best experience! The full retail version has a cool redneck rock and roll sound track that you can play as a CD and play in the game using the included 8 track! Artists include "The Reverend Horton Heat", "The Beat Farmers" and "Mojo Nixon"! This game is full of crude and offensive "Redneck" humor that makes fun of "Rednecks" but not other peoples (other than space aliens!). The dude you play as (Leonard) has alot of very funny sayings! Some people may find the language and violence too harsh or crude for their children. If it's not harsh enough for you, there is a separate "Cus Pack" available that will make a sailor blush! There were two follow-up games and one map pack, "Route 66" is a map pack for the original game. "Redneck Rampage Rides again" is a separate game with even more music, and additional weapons. "Redneck Deer Hunter" is another folloup game, which uses some of the same humor and weapons, but is a hunting game. This game had alot of "User Maps" made for it during it's hayday, most of which are still available on the web for free, which extends its play-again value. Some of these user maps are better than the originals! Make sure you get a version that works with your operating system as the original game runs on DOS and will only work with Windows 95 or Windows 98, (There's a different version for Mac, which may still work on a current MAC OS). There are some sellers here on eBay that include a Windows X86 DOS emulator and front loader that allow you to use this game on Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7. You can find DOS emulators and front loaders as free downloads on the net.Read full review
firstly to rate a game you have to jugde its: a)gameplay b)graphics c)creativity d) music (but thats not so important.) and finally e) its overall rating and don t forget to comment on difficulty. now....MY RATING OF THIS CLASSIC 1997 F.P.S(FPS=FIRST PERSON SHOOTER) Redneck rampage is a game i met as i grew up and is quite an attention-grabber, it does not have so good graphics HOWEVER they are quite good for a 1997 f.p.s game. Redneck Rampage has very good gameplay it has some realistic things but some fake things too. This game is rich in creativity and it has not been created in a rush, you can tell this game has been double checked by the inventor. Redneck Rampage has no music but it has some innapropriate gore and rude comments followed by the gore i recommend this game to f.p.s lovers and people who like a challenge. my rating: Gameplay: 10/10 for its age. Graphics:5 1/2 out of ten. good for its age again. Creativity:8 1/2 out of ten. Music: n/a (it has no music) OVERALL: 9 1/2 OUT OF TEN. Redneck Rampage is a game way ahead of its time.Read full review
Great game, thank you.

What I like most about Redneck Rampage is the fact that it is soo funny because it is a redneck game. All the humor which Jeff Foxworthy portrays as rednecks is clearly shown in this game. I decided to buy this game because I enjoy blowing up cows, pigs, and other rednecks. I love lighting dynamite and blowing the shit up.
Very good as this was an old DOS game, which can be a little awkward to get going on the newer operating systems. The modified version work straight away on windows 7 with no additional work required. Also the original disc was included thus removing any copy right issue.
