Having converted most of my old video collection to DVD I was thrilled to find this film gem in digital format. If you watch this in widescreen format, it really does the battle scene great justice; coupled with surround sound, you'll be gripped by the amazing cinematography. I would recommend the director's cut that includes scenes about the relationship between the lead character and his estranged wife and helps you to understand the motivation behind his decision. The run time is 183 minutes for the directors cut and 120 minutes for the cinema version. I was, however, disappointed by the lack of extras, which any fan of this classic would expect to be included. Coolie - Must see for all Bollywood Fans
I was thrilled to have found this little gem, and in my opinion, it is a must have for all Amitab Bachchan fans. Considered to be one of the greatest Bollywood actors of all time, Amitab delivers a memorable performance in this 1983 classic. I vividly remember the first time I watched this film in my childhood, on my fathers VCR; I was very fond of it. To be able to view it in a DVD version, with digitally re-mastered surround sound it really does this film great justice. The run time is approx 169 minutes, with an interactive menu for songs and scenes.I was thrilled to have found this little gem, and in my opinion, it is a must have for all Amitab Bachchan fans.
