About this product

Product Information

An impenetrable fog has descended on the streets of post-war London and, lurking in the shadows, a violent murderer is on the rampage. Gentleman detective, Albert Campion, is on the trail of a mysterious man posing as the dead husband of a war widow with a wealthy new fiance, but his expedition into the city's criminal underworld reveals something far more sinister than blackmail . . . Set in the atmospheric midst of a London 'pea souper', The Tiger in the Smoke is Margery Allingham's most sophisticated Golden Age crime novel, in which the darkness of the down-at-heel city fades against a piercing portrait of pure evil. This beautiful Macmillan Collector's Library edition of The Tiger in the Smoke features an introduction by the New York Times bestselling author of detective fiction, Sara Paretsky. Designed to appeal to the booklover, the Macmillan Collector's Library is a series of beautiful gift editions of much loved classic titles. Macmillan Collector's Library are books to love and treasure.

Fantastic seller! My item took longer than normal to arrive but that's due to them sending me the wrong dvd. Not to worry though, I contacted them and they arranged for the correct dvd to be sent out. My item has now arrived and the dvd was in excellent condition (brand new as described) and it was very well packaged. I would also like to say that the value for money is excellent. I highly recommend this seller, thank you so much! The issue with the wrong dvd was quickly rectified .

Book arrived safely packaged in perfect order. Item as described, new. Thank you Rarewaves Outlet. Fascinating book, great addition to my collection. Great price. Would recommended this seller. No communication needed with seller, so don't know what to rate with regards to communication (please dont take lack of feedback on this matter as a negative). Thanks again.

This vinyl is really reasonably priced and I love that it is one of the more unusual colours. It arrived well packaged, undamaged and looks as described. It arrived late, due to Royal Mail's Festive rush, but was dispatched by the seller really quickly. When I contacted them to ask where it was, they replied really quickly with a helpful solution. Such good customer service, so strongly recommend. Really happy with my purchase.
