Hobby Boss 1:700 USS Los Angeles SSN-688 submarine model kit.
This submarine model kit is tiny but easy to assemble. The parts had no flash and fit together perfectly. There are only four paint colors required and since the Cover-19 shelter-in-place, I was unable to buy them at my local hobby store. However I found the colors I needed at my nearby Ace Hardware in the form of Rust-Oleum spray cans (Rust-Oleum incidentally owns and manufacturers Testers Hobby Paints). So I used Black, Semi-Gloss Protective Enamel for the upper hull and for the antifouling coating for the hull's underside, I used Rust-Oleum Painter's Touch 2X Ultra Cover Paint+Primer in Satin Claret Wine. For the screw/propeller, I used Vallejo gold (Hobby Lobby carries it). The decals are very tiny and somewhat fiddly, but sturdy. I then coated the finished boat (okay SSN's are ... The paints I used are overkill so they take longer to dry, but render good results. Overall if is a great model, albeit small, that you can knockout in a few days.

Great little sub. I didn't think I had to put it together = but then I am skilled in model making. This was used on an Armed Forces hat depicting all 5 services - Army got a tank, Navy got the sub, Marines got an amphibian boat, Air Forces got planes, and Coast Guard got a boat. This was all with soldiers I various positions and men in their dress uniforms, flowers were added as display pieces. Hat won 3rd place I the contest. Thanks a lot.Great little sub. A model for beginners
A simple model with very few parts but there are a few pieces that can be hard to put on if you have shaky hands due to only be roughly 1 cm long but other then that you should have no problems putting it together. if this is your first model remember to use gel type glue, liquid will be hard to work with. Only took about ten minutes tops to put together so it should be a quick project
