PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe for the PSP adds the "Encore" expansion to Q-Games' tower-defense title in which players attempt to protect helpless villagers from hordes of marauding creatures by knocking down trees and building towers in their place. Two entirely new islands add 26 levels, increasing the total number of stages to 47, and gamers once again begin each level with a set amount of money to spend and a small number of towers available.<br><br>There are now 12 unique towers from which to choose, including the new Trap and Gem towers, with the more expensive towers offering extra firepower or attacks specific to different enemies. In addition to the new levels and towers, PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe for the PSP adds local co-op action and worldwide chat functionality.

I'm giving 4+ ☆ due to good comunication, fast shipping and frendly costumer service. Not 5☆ due to lack of description, the game was listed as "pristine condition" and the manual was missing and the game card is a bit scratched. But when contacted the seller he offered a full refund and no cost shipping back the item, which i didn't, i kept the game cause it works perfectly, but if i knew the manual was missing i could have got other options for the same price CIB.

    good game

    One of the unexpected charms of the game is the two-player co-op mode, where both of you have your own currency to spend as you see fit, but can share gems/research. If anything, the game works even better as a multiplayer game, with one of you stationed near the entrance point, and the other keeping guard near the base. Played solo, you're often caught out by your inability to reach parts of the map quick enough, so although you could argue that the game's slightly more challenging solo, it's also less frustrating in co-op, so you takes your choices. The added competitive edge of each having your own score is a nice touch, too.

    good value buy

    I bought this game for $9.99, brand new. It is a fine game for $9.99, especially if you like any of those "protect the castle" games. You build different turrets, then watch the monsters try to get through your defenses. You can also consider buying two of these games since it is cheap, so you and a friend can co-op on the monsters.

    Very Addictive

    I was looking for a nice but low expensive gift to my girlfriend. She got a PSP and loves tower defense games so PixelJunk was an obvious choice. The cove & UMD artwork is cute and the game is addictive. I'm considering to buy another one for adhoc play!
