New Products - ReDrive Warranty
Standard ReDrive Warranty: 1 year.
 
Source Guarantee: We certify all products sold from new are sourced from a UK-based channel supplier. All new items are new, unused, and unopened. We do not source from discount overseas suppliers or sites such as AliExpress or Temu. You can validate your product serial number directly with the manufacturer. We can help you do this - please contact us if you need us to assist.
 
Warranty Process: If your drive fails during the first year, we’ll replace it with the same or a similar model, and same or higher capacity, free of charge. We reserve the right to replace your drive with one of a higher capacity, and/or from a different manufacturer. We ll need your order/invoice number or drive serial number to process your claim. You ll find your order number on your invoice, and the serial number on the drive itself.
 
Replacement: Warranty replacements will be fulfilled after the drive is returned to ReDrive and fully tested. We do not repair failed drives. ReDrive will pay for replacement shipping but it’s the customer responsibility to return the faulty drive to us at your own cost. If your drive fails within the first 14 days after delivery, ReDrive will reimburse you for reasonable shipping costs to return it to us. Please provide a receipt. We will return the faulty drive to our supplier as part of the replacement claim, and the faulty drive will not be returned to you. You agree to accept our replacement in full and final settlement of the failure. No data on the drive will be recovered.
 
Manufacturer warranty: This is manufacturer and product-dependent, and is usually 2, 3 or 5 years. We can help you validate your manufacturer warranty - contact us for help with this. Manufacturer replacement processes will apply 1 year after we deliver your drive. If your drive is covered by a manufacturer warranty that is in force, and whether or not the drive fails within the first year, we may recommend an RMA directly with the manufacturer. Some drives come with data recovery services as standard e.g. Seagate Rescue and if you have data on the drive where a data recovery attempt is required, this approach will be to your benefit. After 1 year, we ll help you open an RMA with the manufacturer, or you can do this yourself via their website. Contact us for assistance if needed and we ll be happy to help.
 
Packing & Shipping: In the unlikely event you need to make a warranty return, please make sure your drive is adequately packed for shipping. Inadequate packaging may invalidate your warranty if the drive is damaged during the shipping process. We recommend a secure and tracked shipping method. Drives that are not adequately packed will not be eligible for refund or replacement. This is at our discretion, and our decision is final.
 
Physical Damage: Obvious physical damage is not covered under warranty. If upon inspection the drive has been deemed to have been subjected to any physical shock, the warranty is invalidated. This is at ReDrive’s discretion and our decision is final. If your drive is covered by a manufacturer warranty such as Seagate Rescue, your drive may be covered. We ll advise you to open an RMA with the manufacturer and we ll be happy to help you with this. We can also advise on any bundled-manufacturer data recovery bolt-on, such as Seagate Rescue+.
 
Warranty Start Date: The warranty period starts from the date the drive is delivered to your address. Please keep your invoice - this acts as your proof of purchase and will be needed to reset any warranty date at the manufacturer in the event of a manufacturer RMA. If you lose your invoice, please contact us and we can provide a copy.
 
Your ReDrive is not responsible for customer data loss in relation to any of our products. We recommend always having a backup of your data. This is standard practice. ReDrive does not provide data recovery services on any of our own-supplied or third party products, although we are happy to assist you with finding a provider that meets your needs, or advising on manufacturer services such as Seagate Rescue.
 
Warranty Turnaround: 5-7 working days.
 
Public Liability: ReDrive holds business insurance limiting our public liability.
 
 
Refurbished Products - ReDrive Warranty
Standard ReDrive Refurbished Warranty: 1 year.
 
Warranty Disclaimer: All our refurbished products are pre-owned. All hard drives are sold on the basis that they are certified fully-functional at the time of purchase. See this page on our website for information on how we certify our hard drives for re-sale.
 
Failure Prediction: We make no guarantees on any of our refurbished products in relation to future failure predictions. As part of the quality control process, we provide an estimate only. Hard disk drives are precision technology and if looked after, will give many years of good service.

IMPORTANT - Data Destruction: If you return a failed refurbished drive under our warranty, after testing and validating your claim, with your agreement, the drive will be physically destroyed to prevent your data being accessed. ReDrive will, upon request, provide a video of this being undertaken. Alternatively we can return your failed drive to you, but this will be at your expense, (unless we are returning the failed drive to you along with the replacement drive.) We ll require your consent in writing for destruction. If consent is not received by the 7th working day after we receive your drive, we ll store it securely for 30 days, after which we will proceed with the destruction without your consent. ReDrive is not liable for any lost customer data by any means.
