Growing up in Western Texas proved to be a bonding experience for the three brothers who make up Los Lonely Boys. The band begun playing together at a very early age, and even provided back up for their father in their formative years. Progressing to carve out their own unique sound, the boys formed Los Lonely Boys, and set about perfecting their harmonies and musical arrangements. Then, when they arrived, they arrived in style. Combining Spanish and English lyrics helped win over a uniquely eclectic fanbase, and they soon set about recording songs for their debut record. But it is when Los Lonely Boys take to the stage that they really excel, as this show from their native Texas illustrates. A devoted crowd laps up the sounds on offer, with the band mixing up different styles to deliver a potent brew that looks set to age like a fine wine.

Los Lonely Boys - Texican Style: Live From Austin (DVD,
To anyone even remotely contemplating purchasing this DVD, do it! You will not be disappointed! Los Lonely Boys is the best band to hit the blues and/rock scene in ages. All 3 brothers bring something great to the table when performing so that the audience is captivated and energized. You can't help but feel like jumping up and down and dancing around the room, or the venue, listening to these guys. Henry Garza just blows me away as a guitarist. JoJo is bouncing all over the stage with that grin on his face, making everybody happy and Ringo is down to earth and a powerful drummer. You don't very often get a great lead guitarist who can sing! I can only think of one who is anywhere near him in quality of vocals and guitar as well and the other guy has a different style altogether ... To anyone even remotely contemplating purchasing this DVD, do it! You will not be disappointed! Los Lonely Boys is the best band to hit the blues and/rock scene in ages. From the opening number, "Crazy Dream", through brother Henry’s guitar solo (ala SRV) between Man to Beat and Onda to their show stopping encore, where Jojo show’s why bass players are the really showmen in power trio’s. The action never stops. The guys show why Los Lonely Boys are the current torch bearers of Rock n roll Texas style. The dvd includes several shorts that catch the boys relaxing with their families just like your average Joe Texans. And the boys show why they are Willies Nelson's favorite local band (gone National, in their fun loving ode to mama's cooking on "Supper Time".
