    Every episode at your fingertips

    The only thing that's bad with the CD's is they don't automatically put themselves in the cd player. This set has every single episode there was and then some, you even get the pilot that shows the way it was on the very first taping. This set is amazing, if you enjoy "Leave it to Beaver" you have to get this set. I realize these sets are a little pricey but it's worth every penny, it's all you'll have to buy to get all the episodes and they will last you for years to come. The best part is the whole family can watch and enjoy them without worrying about violence. It's a simple time with lots of love and understanding. I love it and so will you.

    Yesteryear

    When Leave It to Beaver was on original aring, my age matched Jerry Mathers' and I related directly to his adventures. To see those memories again is a great thing. From a simpler time, and a family setting, the grins are still there. A nice clean video, and the complete shows, without commercial interruption or syndication scene clipping.

    Not inexpensive but well worth it.

    Finally, the complete six seasons of this classic television show in one boxed set. Though the picture and sound transfer quality is very good, there are a couple of episodes with lines and artifacts that should have been "cleaned-up" when the transfers were initially made. The "re-mastering" leaves a bit to be desired. That said, the episodes are sharp and uncut. The included extras are fun to watch and listen to. A bit pricey, but If you are a true LITB fan, then this is a must.

    Who else would I leave it to but the Beaver?

    I am almost the same age as Jerry Mathers and grew up watching Leave It To Beaver. Ward is the father I always wished I'd had. For some people, the values and plots may seem silly and dated. But the story lines came from actual experiences of the children of the writers. I went through many of the same things as a child in the 50's. It was a much simpler time. For me, the stories hold up and are what America needs to remember about itself and how we once were. The quality of the DVD's is very good and clear.
