      Pay peanuts get monkeys, or something like that...

      On first glance, there was a lip where the stone surface was not flat, had to flatten it with a stone masonry chisel. The stone is very weak, quickly becoming unlevel, needing re-flattening. Does sharpen your tools, but not to mirror finish, youll need to get a fine sandpaper piece to finish any blades. Paid 2.89GBP, it's okay for that price, but probably would not buy again, recommend you get a more decent one.

      old fashioned?

      it might require a little getting used to but this makes blades and chisels etc ... very sharp ... a little oil and patience and hey presto your blades are like new.. better sometimes :-)
