    Familiar characters voiced by original actors very often

    I got into the idea of Rebels through The Clone Wars animated series. Rebels takes place immediately prior to Rogue One. It uses a lot of Star Wars incidental music, includes familiar characters sometimes voiced by the original actors (Earl Jones voices Vader and Dee Williams voices Lando Calrissian for example, Daniels as C3-PO). It's entertaining enough so far and I'm halfway through Season 1.

    Love this series

    As if attack of the clones wasn't enough, with a 4k TV this just takes it to new levels. Story is engaging and episode length, graphics and action sequences are off the chain. Top quality, jaw dropping! Blue Ray for thr next series is a must!

    Why had I avoided this?

    For a long while, I had avoided watching Rebels; I didn't like the caricature style of the characters, particularly Stormtroopers, and was worried it was childish and cartoony. However, my friends kept telling me to watch it and I finally gave in. And... It's brilliant! Okay, it IS stylised, and a couple of episodes are a bit more childish than the others (second series is less childish) but mostly this series is superb. Great characters, a bit cliched but still likeable. Good stories. But the best thing is that it is perfectly StarWars-ish. It FEELS right, and there are some very nice little nods to the original trilogy. I love this series, I just wish I'd tried it sooner!
