For a layperson attempting to gain basic knowledge of theology, this book is great. Ryrie has broken down the major biblical themes into bite-sized pieces with the major bible verses included. After reading this book, I decided to order his more detailed Theology works because I am studying to be a Biblical Counselor. This is an excellent basic theology for either the lay person or for a college student. It is not exhaustive or complete as the fuller theology books are.
