In an ideal world the stem would be mounted partially on the original steerer and partially on the new extension part. On my bike, I'm not this fortunate and the stem is mounted only on the extension. This seems to work the extension loose and possibly puts too much stress on it. This would definitely work perfectly if your stem can also mount the original fork steerer tube and the extension.

I had great communications with the seller and they were more than fair, offering a refund when EVRI took weeks and week to deliver the parcel and we both thought it must be lost. The item looks brand new and I felt it was very good value. The box appearance was in perfect condition. My child has yet to open the box but we are looking forward to playing the game.
