Sounds Good But....
I wanted a large screen music player with bluetooth and good sound. So I bought this.. The bluetooth works great pairs with my speaker with no problems. The sound is excellent. The screen size is nice and large but the menu layout is dated, hard to read and doesn't support low vision as I'd hoped. There's no option to customize, enlarge text or delete/ rearrange settings and features you don't want or won't use.
The radio Language Study and Dac are placed at the top menu. What? C'mon. All the other menu items such as settings, bluetooth, sound options are scattered. There's too much clicking and back clicking, too many hoops to jump just to turn on the bluetooth or change a sound. It's a pain. I mean, are there that many people turning on their music player heading straight for the Language Study Folder? Here you have this nice size large screen music player and no option for the user to personalize. i expected way better..
The manual isn't helpful at all. And what's up with this NWA-40 series? Supposedly, I have a NWA 45 but it's not inscribed anywhere on the device iteself and yet the box says NWA-45 I thought Sony could have done better explaining this and other features in the manual instead of leaving it up to the user to find their own answers. Why even have a manual?
Yes, the screen settiings a big bummer, but I'm still hanging onto it. All in all, it's a decent player with good sound and a bluetooth connection. (a lot of these players don't have bluetooth). It's a good little investment to store my music on instead of my cell phone.
