Item is exactly as was pictured. USPS screwed up the shipping which caused a delay, seller was all over tracking down what happened and kept me updated. Will absolutely buy from this seller again.

King Kong vs. Godzilla: What were you expecting?

Buyer beware: this is the "American" version only of KKVG which is the inferior version of the film. You really only get half of the original cut with the rest being American actors explaining to the audience what is going on, it's boring and bad. I've seen worse but it is the original American port. Anyway, the version we have is still good for what it is. This is perfect for a few guys to get together, have a couple of beers and laugh til you cry! This movie is bad (this version). It's boring most of the time but whenever i see IT's ridiculous grin I can't help but smile. Godzilla looks good. The fights are epic and hilariously awful and unconvincing, still awesome though. The human story is very disjointed because of the American reshoots but it's an interesting side ...

  • Most critical review

It was slightly better when I was a child.

The shipping was perfect. The disc and case were good. I wasn’t a fan of the movie however.

  • Fun for the Family

Awesome movie and would have been a perfect Japanese monster movie if the King Kong costume didn't look so bad at times. Though for the most part it worked. More for kids than for adults but still fun. It has that classic monster music that really makes the movie. Something that is missing from all the recent Godzilla movies. Also, wish they would make more King Kong movies like KK Skull Island....so much to explore about Kong if the storytellers & directors have the imagination to do it.

  • Nice Release

Obsolete now that the Criterion set is out, but if you're an obsessive collector who likes to get multiple releases (and this movie had had a lot of them), then this is a nice little addition. Great case cover and a very nice screen menu.

  • The Original Battle

I bought this mostly to gear up for what is essentially the remake that is part of the MonsterVerse. This film has its place in the large kaiju pantheon, but is not nearly as engaging as the original Godzilla (1954) or King Kong (1933) films.
