    The entire Granada series of Sherlock Holmes stories with Jeremy Brett in the title role. A must have for any fan and lover of these classic tales.

    The famed detective had never been played better than by Jeremy Brett in these faithful adaptations of the classic Conan Doyle stories in this Granada series initially broadcast in the mid 1980’s through the mid 1990’s. A must have for any Sherlock Holmes fan. Highly recommended.

    Great dramatization of Holmes Canon!

    Excellent set of Sherlock Holmes dvds. Jeremy Brett’s performance of Holmes is outstanding. Staging, costumes, and scenery very much true to period. The dramas follow the Holmes stories very well. Only drawback to this boxed set is as others have noted, the cases holding the dvds are sadly inadequate. Because of poor design they can slip and slide around causing unwanted surface scratches. Extra care in handling is a must.

    Best Adaptation of the Sherlock Holmes stories ever

    I have loved this series ever since it first started airing on PBS in the 1980s. It's great to finally have this box set of DVDs where I can watch it without ads or buffering. Having the disks is worth the price. The product was exactly what was promised and everything is working well.

    A classic series - one that engages you from the opening credits to the end of each episode. So well-directed. The scenes, both indoor and outdoor, are true to the period, as are the costumes. If you enjoy reading the original stories, you can't help but be thoroughly entertained. Brett IS Holmes!
