Seller notes: “This Thorn me n u2 was bought new by us at the end of 2018. It is in very good condition. It has ... “This Thorn me n u2 was bought new by us at the end of 2018. It is in very good condition. It has been well maintained and looked after, always garaged, and has not been used for the last few years as our children have grown out of it. Thorn themselves say the paintwork is not intended to be perfect to keep the costs down as the bike is intended to be affordable as family transport. This statement is from Thorn whose new adult 2 seat tandems start at £4,500. There were then, some imperfections in the paint when it was was new. There are now some additional scuffs and marks from use. There are some tiny spots of surface rust on the forks which must be steel, but not on the rest of the frame. These are not of concern and the forks are a replaceable item if they were. Most braking has been done on the rear disk which has had new pads. V-brakes have not been used on the rear other than as a very useful parking brake, and rarely on the front so pads are original and rims not worn.”
