The volumes were first grouped chronologically and sealed in plastic. Then, each group was bubble-wrapped. Additionally, each box was padded with brown wrapping paper so nothing could move during shipping. The books arrived exactly as described (a great value) for a reasonable shipping rate. Book arrived as described, actually much better than described. Book was sealed inside a plastic bag, placed inside a sturdy cardboard book box/mailer & then was promptly shipped. It arrived earlier than promise date. I highly recommend this excellent, professional seller! A+
