    Aside from that this can was exactly what I wanted at a fair price, what really needs praise is how the seller handled a shipping that went sideways. The spout that came with this can was damaged either in a warehouse or during shipping. I sent pictures of the damaged box and broken spout and asked how to proceed. With the information provided a replacement spout is on the way to be delivered tomorrow. Customer service like this is what creates return customers, of which I will be one.

    looks and fits like original

    I can't testify to its long-term durability/reliability, as I'll only be using the timer occasionally. However, at least it looks like the original, fit into place correctly, came with good instructions for installation, and during test run was quiet and smooth. I'm assuming this unit will function reliably for many years; the original was problem-free for around 10+ years, running all during the growing season as a timer for our drip irrigation system. The only reason I replaced the motor was because the original was starting to make a slight growling sound, which made me suspect the gear train was wearing out. When I disassembled the original motor/gear unit I couldn't see any evidence of deterioration, but feel in my case was better to be on the safe side.

    Easy replacement

    Kit included screws and wire nuts. No soldering needed. Remove old motor, cut wires, strip, use said wire nuts, reposition new motor and replace screws. Less than 15 minute job.
