Squeeze, South London's enduring purveyors of pure pop magic, will release their first album of new material in seventeen years on October 2nd. Songs from the album will feature in Danny Baker's forthcoming sitcom 'Cradle To Grave' starring Peter Kay to be shown on national TV this Autumn. The album comes as a CD in a MintPack with a 12 page booklet. Squeeze's new album 'Cradle To The Grave' is the band's 14th studio album and features the first collection of new songs from founding members, Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook, since 1998. It was produced by Tilbrook and Laurie Latham and recorded at 45 RPM Studios in Charlton.

    The Muse has left the premises

    I've always clamored to get the next recording by Squeeze because they were so dependable. This time out the performances are strong but the material is not. I've been watching the careers of lots artists for the last 50 years and IMHO most of them have tailed off in their songwriting. This is another example of "little left in the gas tank". I still hold Squeeze in high regard but this for me was a forgettable outing.

    We all know they have gone through so many lineups...but...Difford and Tilbrook have always hit the mark. This album is a real evolution of there work together and life journey. Do yourselves a favor and pick it up.. JG

    Great recent album

    Squeeze are a great band. This is a great later album. Tilbrook and Difford have never lost their touch for writing great songs with great hooks.
