There was a deep scratch on the outer edge of one metal contact point which worried me a little until I installed it, but as I said the E8600 CPU works perfectly (which is what really matters). I would still recommend the seller especially considering the very reasonable price paid. PS - using the PC with the E8600 to write this feedback :-)
