    Star Wars, the last Jedi.

    Whilst this latest installment of the Star Wars saga was entertaining, it lacked something I just couldn't put my finger on. I kept waiting for one of the old hands to be killed off. Or maybe the beloved droids to be blown up. When it happened it was a bit of an antclimax. Nothing seemed to happen, the plot swung from one boilerplate encounter to the next. Please writers stop writing just for kids, put some real grit in there. Entertaining Yes. Magical No.

    Dreadful. Don’t put yourself through this!

    Third-rate fan-fiction with a huge budget. No story. No characterisation. A chaos of bewildering cgi intended to distract from the gaping absence of anything else. Harrison Ford had the sense to get out while the going was good, but poor Mark Hamill walked right into the very worst of it. Come backs rarely work out and this one certainly didn’t, for any of the original cast. Why on earth would Disney buy it (Star Wars) if it didn’t want it? And having watched this trilogy it is perfectly clear no genuine Star Wars fans were involved in the making of it.
