    Good trusted extender!

    Elegant dual band repeater, but not an access point, router or bridge, or DHCP server. Manual audits of clients by browser and IP address of extender. One ethernet out. RANGE about 50 feet through 4 layers of concrete and metal point to point. That's the best in it's class - I find Netgear extenders have the best range. If your router is an AC type, you should use a AC extender (AC standard started around mid - 2016). "FastLane" technology allows the extender to talk privately in one band (your choice) and will broadcast through the other band if selected. About frequencies - 2.4Ghz band has a better range (lower frequencies have more range) but 5Ghz carries more data (for video). I am not sure of the N speed, but it's very likely better than N450 (N300+N150). I heard it's actually ...

    Good, Reliable Device

    Works well, sets up easily - almost plug and play. The Netgear process facilitates the setup. The unit interacted immediately with my base router on both frequencies. The INSSIDER 3 link score for the 5GHz was higher than the link score fore the 2.4GHz band even though it had a higher signal strength. When mounted in the lower position on a wall receptacle, there is room for an additional plug to be placed above it. It has consistently recovered from household power blinks and returns to service as soon as the power is restored.
