    My Review

    This product is very robust and well built. The filters inside the canister seem to be more than adequate to properly filter the water coming through it. It comes with more piping than was used in my application. It all fitted together so that there was no leaks. There is also plenty of rubber pipe allowing it to be stored underneath the aquarium inside a cabinet which supports the aquarium. Filters are readily available though I have not had to change any yet. For serious aquarium owners.

    Cascade 1000

    Just recieved the package via ups. Didnt look beat up. The set up directions ate a liitle weird but not to confusing. Didn't come with a great biological filter media so I threw some fluval biomax in the top tray on top of the final filter floss. Setup was a breeze. I am amazed at how quiet this thing is. Gonna run my hang on back style filter with this one for about a month. No leakage at all. Got it for a great price. So far I am very impressed.

    High quality filter.

    Surprisingly quiet! The large filter surface area provides longer service life. The 3 stage filter system is designed smartly. I keep mine in a plastic bin, so no wet floor during filter media replacement. Fantastic product!

    Works great, comes with everything you need.

    No problems. Impeller was a little louder than I thought it should be, but you can do a couple things to help quiet it. Usually it is from trapped air, so you can prime it and tip it from side to side to help release the air. Also, you can coat the impeller with lube such as Vasoline to help quiet it down.
