    Bulk Tape Eraser that Really Works

    I got this tape eraser to erase VCR tapes so they could be reused to record new movies. After watching a how to video on the internet, I erased several old tapes and verified that there was no remnants of previous recordings. If you are careful, the bulk tape eraser removes all images of the video records. You may get white noise from the previous audio recording, but is not detectable on new recordings.

    Easy to use, performs well, highly recommended.

    I like this product because it is easy to handle. It has a thin, flexible electrical cord, rather than a thick, stiff cord that is on newer products sold today. This make it easy to maneuver on all kinds of tapes, from large reel to reel tapes to small cassettes. It produces a very strong magnetic field that completely erases the tape. Highly recommended.

    Definitely not fast.

    This works very well but is much slower at erasing than I expected. Moving across a reel to reel tape at what seemed to me a reasonable speed only half erased it. Slow down and it worked perfectly. For erasing one tape at a time on occasion this will do the job. If you need to erase multiple tapes regularly this is going to be a huge disappointment.
