    Nice "all in one" lens, better than the kit lenses.

    Durability remains to be seen, but it has a good reputation so I'll assume it's durable. It does use a plastic lens mount rather than metal, knew that before I purchased it. Definitely a step up from the kit lenses offered with most of the Canon R APS-C bodies. Using it on the R100, this single lens is basically the same size as the 55mm-210mm zoom offered in the dual-lens kit (along with R100 body and 18mm-45mm lens). While this one doesn't quite have the total range of those two combined, is covers 18mm-150mm and has lower F-stop due to it's larger optics, so I find it's a better choice than the kit lenses. If I need a longer zoom range, I'll probably add the 100mm-400mm RS lens, but so far, I don't need the longer zoom and I may not ever need it.

    A great addition to my new Canon R7. Fills the void Canon has in it's available APS-C sized lenses. More than replaces Canon's adapted 70-200mm F2.8 USM IS II lens at MUCH LESS weight. Unfortunately, it's apertures are slower/darker. But it's great in good light.
