      Thermostat cycling and always calling for heat

      This thermostat only lets the heat deviate about 0.5 degree. If you set it for a specific temp it will not move from that temp. It causes my heater to cycle on and off a whole lot more than my last thermostat which was functioning fine, but is 20 years old. I spent hours researching and varying the cycles per hour setting, only to find out that the temp overrides any cycle setting that is programmed. It still cycles on and off too much, which can't be to good for all the moving parts in the heater. I have a 93+% efficient heater, if my gas and electric bill is through the roof this month this stat is coming out.

      Thermostat fit the existing base.

      Its the brand we needed so that we did not have to rewire the thermostat. It allowed us to just plug it in to the existing base, which was much easier.

      quick repair for older unit

      this thermostat is original to my heat pump since Trane no longer sells this for one to one replacement this was a great find. the last one had battery spill and not working this was a quick replacement for repair of older unit.
