    Good quality - Poor design

    I bought this water drinker after reading reviews about some of the other dispensers not fitting together properly. This one, however, was no better. The top reservoir does not slide into the slots of the bottom piece without some grinding down of the plastic pieces. It works fine after some work, but I don't know why they can't make it correctly from the factory.

    Works fine

    Easy to fill as it has feet that it stands on when upside down (set on pavement, not dirt). The wide opening makes it easy to clean the inside. As with any plastic item there may be small burrs (mold flash) left over from manufacture, trim any that prevent it from closing. Test fit BEFORE filling it the first time. The chickens have no problem with it. Seems to be a good design, the bowl is deep enough to prevent overflowing when the warm afternoons heat up the air in the bottle and cause more water to come out. Some brands will overflow every day.

    Great waterer!

    I purchased a few of these last year and really like how they work. Some might be a little tight fitting at first but after a few openings and closings the pieces fit together nicely. Large enough to keep the water cooler in the summer heat but not too large to make it difficult to carry. Just bought four more of the 3.5 gallon waterers, that's how much I like them.
