    A suitable and much cheaper replacement filter

    These replacement filters worked fine in our humidifier, and for a much cheaper price than the originals by Kaz. The only complaint, and the reason I did not rate them at 5, is that they have the metal outer mesh which prevents me from folding the spares for easy packaging. Otherwise, they are fine.

    DO NOT BUY THESE FOR HONEYWELL HUMIDIFIERS

    I bought this 6 pack of filters to use in my 3 Honeywell humidifiers. I used three of them, one in each humidifier, and all three units stopped working after about 3 weeks of use. When I took them apart to clean them, the water in the units was filled with dust and even a few hairs. The regular Honeywell filters I used for years NEVER had this problem...clearly the filters are not filtering adequately. Now I have a massive cleaning project on my hands and three more useless filters at best; at worst, I may have to replace all three humidifiers. EXTREMELY disappointed, to say the least.

    Good and bad issues. But works well.

    Works well providing humidity in the house. Not super quiet, but it provides good white noise at night. Filters are available from several suppliers online. The tanks are stupidly designed as they are large and take some time to fill, but have a shape that does not allow you to leave them standing in the sink while they fill. I glued some feet on the tanks to make them stand upright in the sink while they are filling.

    A good value!

    This appears to be the same filters as sold for much more by some parties. The local stores no longer carry them, and I don't want to throw out a perfectly good humidifier just because I can no longer find replacement filters for it!

    Why I love humidifier filters

    Open ended cylinders of absorbent open woven fibrous material are made more stable by an outer layer of plastic netting. Although inexpensive one will last a season if undisturbed. If cleaning is required dispose of the used one and replace with a new one. I plan on changing the filter 2 or 3 times as I have 2 cats. The filter seems to capture airborne hair and dander. A stiffer outer mesh would improve the quality significantly. Overall I would rate this item 7.5 out of 10. A 9 if it were stiffer.
