I have had my first one since 2010 and it just finally broke and the only thing with this one was that the batteries were dead when I tried using it but the flash light and accessories were perfect I highly recommend this flashlight to anyone. I gave it four stars because of the dead batteries but over all it's a 5 star flashlight

Maglite are great always, they will take punishment. You can get parts when they do get beat up. The XL50 fits great in a one inch tactical light holder for your rails on a rifle, used common batteries and cost so much less than fancy tactical flashlights .Also come with red, blue and green lenses, (red is best as used by the U.S.Navy ), for keeping eyes adjusted to the dark. They are bright, have a dim setting and also flash. Sweet, quality light for fewer bucks than that expensive tactical light and no hard to find batteries.

This Maglite is larger than the pictures suggest. It is very bright and in my opinion, it has the perfect combination of features. They are: 1 click = bright. 2 clicks = dim. 3 clicks = strobe. That's it. It comes with a removable clip (which seems to be plastic, I'm afraid it will break...), and the colored lens are very hard to install and remove off the rubber bumper. But the flashlight itself is a beauty. I love it.

I have carried this light at work for a little while now (as a back up). I carry it in my right hand pocket with the lens facing down. I've had to replace the batteries twice due to it coming on in my pocket and being left on. I've tried to carry it lens up up but I've had it come on a couple of times. The switch takes very little pressure to turn on, otherwise I really like it. It is very bright and very easy to deploy (no snags) I like the configuration of the mode select ( I always like to have my light come on full power and select down if needs be). The clip has come loose (but not off) a couple of times. Nice light but the "lightness" of the switch is a problem.

Every Maglite needs a anti-roll devise and this unit has two. The filter cap and the pocket clip. A must have, for me, is dual intensity light. I really like a bright light at light for distance viewing but for working on something close that is reflective bright is no good so the low setting is perfect and used often, saving on battery life at the same time.
