Ive has Sony grips before and they seem more robust. But they cost more and I don't think there will be much difference. It's fine for the cost

As good as an original Sony or Better have not used it yet but I have a Sony grip for another Camera and the fit and Finish are similar. We will see when I use, how well it works.

This is the second of these grips I have purchased. I bought the OEM grip for my Alpha 700 when they first came out and it was almost the same as this grip for my Alpha 77 in build quality. When the 77 model came out 3-4 years ago I opted to purchase a non-OEM grip and it worked so well that when I purchased my second 77 I also purchased another non-OEM grip. The first one is still working at 100% and has never let me down. I am sure this new one will be the same. I just wish they made one for my Alpha 65.

The shipping was timely and the grip works out fine. The major problem that I had was that either way that I put the batteries in the tray, the camera would either say "battery exhausted" or "incompatible battery". This was not the grips fault but the actual camera. This problems also happens with the genuine sony battery grip. Nevertheless, I was able to figure it out from online forums. Overall, the grip is fine.
