2016 release from the Italian 'popera' trio. On July 7, 1990, a magical night took place in Rome: Jose Carreras, Plácido Domingo and Luciano Pavarotti sang together for the very first time in one of the most evocative temples of opera, the ancient Baths of Caracalla in Rome - giving life to the biggest classical music project of the century, The Three Tenors. Twenty-six years later, worldwide platinum selling artists, Il Volo, pay tribute to the event and to the Three Maestri with their album of a live concert event, Notte Magica - A Tribute to The Three Tenors. The concert took place on July 1st at the Piazza Santa Croce, one of the most beautiful plazas in Florence with the famous Teatro Massimo di Palermo orchestra. Il Volo performed some of the most famous Neapolitan songs and arias from the Italian and international operatic repertoire - all of which were sung by the original Three Tenors. As a special guest, Maestro Plácido Domingo conducted almost half of the program and joined Il Volo singing the classic "Non ti scordar di me."

    I LOVE MY NOTTE MAGICA CD

    This CD is absolutely beautiful, marvelous, glorious, etc. Ran out of words to describe it. The boys of Il Volo sing their hearts out for us in this, their first attempt at an operatic style CD. Their voices are magnificent, whether they are singing solos, duets, or all three together. Their conductor and mentor Maestro Domingo actually joins them singing one of the songs and that is an extra little treat. It is packed full with operatic arias, classical songs, Broadway melodies and two extras thrown in at the end: one, a big surprise to me, is a new Ave Maria that I have never heard before and then finally, a version of Adeste Fideles (just in time for Christmas).

    I love this group, they started when they were all very young and never cease to make me feel privileged to hear them sing. This CD is one to have and put it in your car so you can enjoy it every time you go anywhere. Get two so if one is misplaced you'll have another. Love it!! Love it!!!

    Quality of sound

    I have heard this concert on PBS and sound was good! This CD was so low in volume, that even with volume at high, sound was really low!!! Is this a knockoff! Genuine ???
