This ukulele brings back memories of my Ovation guitars that I used to play. Due to medical reasons, I had to give up the guitar and went back to playing ukulele. I've owned Kamakas, KoAlohas, Kanileas, Ponos, Meles and Big Island ukuleles . This ukulele is fun to play and you really don't have to worry about nicks and dents. The sound is clear and can project when strummed or fingerpicked. I would recommend this uke for beginners, intermediate, even advanced players with a propensity to the dropsies. I teach and enjoy playing it. With the pickup, you can't beat the price. Workmanship is excellent and fittings and frets are top notch. I live in Hawaii and this ukulele plays very well. The Aquila strings bring on a warm tone, not too bright. Haven't changed to drop G yet to see how it plays. Since my last review, my students had a chance to try this ukulele and seven of them have ordered this ukulele. Read full review

Solid top for under£100 wow! And I bought it because I wanted a round back! I think there is cost saved with the moulded sides and back which has been reinvested in the top. Got a nice action but the strings are taking longer than usual to settle Has a nice bright sound so much nicer than laminate. Can't comment on the pick-uo as I haven't powered it yet.

This is the second Clearwater ukulele I have bought in the last few months. Estimated delivery was 4 or 5 days but it turned up 23 hours after I placed the order - incredible! Clearwater ukuleles have been reviewed at length elsewhere and I can confirm that they are great value for money. They are a big step up from beginner instruments and the sound is good and loud. More expensive ukes will sound better, but obviously at a price! Plus points for me are: solid top, good sound, pickup, and a strap button. For some reason the strings took about 10 days to settle in, but this is a very minor point and they are fine now. I would have bought a Clearwater gig bag but £29 seemed a bit steep to me! All in all I am very pleased with my Clearwater ukuleles and may well be back for more😁

For a solid spruce top ukulele with a pickup, this is a good price. It's got plenty of volume, sounds as good or better than other more expensive ukuleles and the pickup works fine though a preamp will help to polish the tone. It's also very well made. I'm happy with it.

Fabulous ukulele, an upgrade on my previous tenor. With it's ovation style round back and solid spruce top, it looks a little different and sounds good too. The finish on mine is flawless I can't find a single fault. I haven't tried the pickup yet but wholeheartedly recommend.
