Not only are they different fabrics, and different grey tones despite them both being labeled "light grey" (one black, one white), they have different tags showing they're two totally different brands despite being in the same listing. We bought them as couples shirts, so they'll work, but I'm sad that mine (the white one) is visibly lower quality 😞
