Simple, yet effective
The balancer has a broad selection of diameters to fit most mower blade hole sizes. The mower blade is positioned on the balancer, which shows the blade balance in 2 dimensions (i.e. the horizontal plane). Without this tool you can do many simple tricks to check for balance, but most of the easy tricks only check for balance in 1 dimension. This little gadget is somewhat more advanced. Good for the money
This is defiantly not the pinnacle of blade balancing, but it is good value for money. I bought the Oregon version which was a bit more expensive than the chinese ones, that had better reviews. I have used it on a couple of blades and am happy with the results. I will still be saving my pennies for the more expensive wall mounted version though as you have to spend a bit of time making sure the blade is on the balancer properly each time you mount it. Not the easiest tool to use, but a good cheap alternative if you don't want to spend much money on it. Avoid the really cheap ones from china.This is defiantly not the pinnacle of blade balancing, but it is good value for money.
