      A country elevator like the ones that dot Iowa and Minnesota farmland

      I wanted this item for my s scale model train layout. Since it's HO scale, it's a bit smaller than I would have preferred, but finding an s scale elevator has been next to impossible and I don't think the slightly smaller size make that much difference. It was very easy to assemble, with one exception. The two plastic tracks for the sliding barn doors are a bit too flexible, so they tend not to say in place and the sliding doors fall off. The idea is that you can open and close the sliding doors, but since the tracks hiding them tend to flex, the only real solution is to glue the doors in place. On the whole, that's not a big issue; you just have to decide how the doors should look and then glue them where you want them. The other item that I wish had been included was a decal like the ...

      Quality kit

      A very well made kit requiring little trimming. Was able to keep corners together at 90 degrees simply by using a couple of rubber bands. assembly time was a couple of hours. Detail was very good as plastic kits go.
