Very good saddle once sanded to fit my Epiphone acoustic it improved the playability, I didn’t notice a massive tone improvement on this particular instrument, however I have noticed improvements on other instruments I have fitted a tusq saddle to, it has seemed to vary depending on the guitar and tone woods etc, however better than plastic, some guitars seem to suit bone better and some tusq again it’s best to try bone and tusq it’s a pain but you can’t tell till you’ve tried them.Very good saddle once sanded to fit my Epiphone acoustic it improved the playability, I didn’t notice a massive tone improvement on this particular instrument, however I have noticed improvements on other instruments I have fitted a tusq saddle to, it has seemed to vary depending on the guitar and tone woods etc, however better than plastic, some guitars seem to suit bone better and some tusq again it’s best to try bone and tusq it’s a pain but you can’t tell till you’ve tried them.

Tusq saddle
This took a bit of sanding to fit the bridge on my old Epiphone (I may have bought the wrong size). I also took the height down to lower the action. Not difficult tasks, but required some patience as you don't want to take off too much. Well worth that small effort as the sound is definitely improved from the plastic saddle it replaced. It's subjective of course, but the guitar sounds brighter and a bit louder, but not at all tinny.
