My Favourite Picks Just Got Better!

I've always used Jim Dunlop picks - I advise 0.38mm ultra thin for learners strumming for the first time, then graduate to the 0.46 mm or these 0.60mm picks, keeping anything heavier for playing lead lines using single notes (especially on electric). I also like the way they are graded in colour, from almost white, through darker shades of grey to almost black. But when I bought these I didn't realise what "max grip" meant - it's a new innovation of putting a rough surface where you hold the pick, and it really does stop you dropping it - handy, since it usually drops into the sound hole and you then have 5 minutes shaking an upside down guitar to get it back!

  • Max grip picks

For me with arthritic fingers and I struggle with my grip, these work as well as any I’ve tried although I know there are other makes out there that provide a similar level of grip. Would definitely recommend.

  • Not the same as they used to be.

I have been using these picks for 30 odd years and they were great. They’ve now been changed and are more stiff and rigid and difficult to use, I am an unhappy customer. I dislike this new style of pick intensely, I was very happy with the old pick before they changed it and ruined it in my opinion.

  • .60 - What's your thickness?

Just works right for my style of playing - been using (and losing) these for more years than I care to remember!

  • Great grip

I use them for Irish tenor banjo, find them great as normal picks slide a little. These are good for tunes. 👍🏽
