Bought an adaptor to fit the aerial connection but still didn't work, did a substitution test on the co-ax cable in the harness and found it to be faulty. Removing the cable would be a big job so I bought a new aerial cable and ran that to the unit which then worked well. I didn't contact the seller because I'd found the fault by substitution and as a result the problem was fixed anyway!
