  • Easy to work with. Distinct improvement to tone of guitar.

    Had to make a new nut for my 1970s classical guitar. Older guitars usually need a custom made nut and saddle. Had heard about Graph Tech and frankly was a bit sceptical about it but decided to give it a try. Found it easier to work with than bone and even, very carefully, used a Surform Plane to save time where the blank needed a lot of reduction in size. It was the first nut that I had done and I managed to get all the dimensions just right and get a fairly professional looking result. That was until I got to the trickiest bit, the slotting for the six strings where I did a useable but not very good job. So I'm going to do another one. With both a Graph Tech nut and saddle on my guitar I'm definitely hearing a richer spectrum of tones from the instrument, sounds that I wasn't getting ...
